(Day 1) — U.S./Havana, Cuba

  • Flight arrives at “Jose Marti” International Airport in Havana, Cuba.
    Passengers go through Immigration control and customs security clearance.
  • Transfer by private motor-coach to the hotel in Havana.
  • Meeting at hotel lobby for Introductions and review of itinerary details
  • Light lunch at Hotel
  • Visit Havana’s scale model to get an introduction to the cities lay-out and characteristics.
  • Walking Tour of Old Havana with a renowned Cuban architect to have the first grasp of Havana’s architecture, architectural styles present in the Old section of the city and to learn about the current restoration programs conducted by NGOs in Havana. Visit local’s dwellings and learn about Cuban’s living conditions in Old Havana.
  • Dinner at Paladar “La Guarida”, one of the oldest and most popular privately owned restaurants in Cuba, where Oscar-nominated film “Strawberry and Chocolate” was filmed.
    Options will be provided to enjoy cultural activities in the evening.

( Day 2 ) — Havana

  • Breakfast at hotel
  • Meet with renowned Architect and Professor Isabel Rijol (….) to learn about Cuban architecture
  • Explore Havana by bus, stopping along the way to rest and learn about places of historical and/or cultural relevance, such as the Capitol building, the Revolution Square, the University of Havana, etc.
  • Lunch at “El Aljibe” restaurant in Miramar area.
  • Visit Cuba’s largest cemetery: “Colon”; which also considered a Museum and historical site. Enjoy the amazing architecture and arts work on display at Cuba’s largest and most important cemetery.
  • Dinner at “San Cristobal” Restaurant; one of Havana’s best privately owned restaurants, where President Obama had dinner during his recent visit to Cuba. Learn from Restaurant Owner & staff about running a Private business in today’s Cuba.
    Options will be provided to enjoy cultural activities in the evening.

( Day 3) Havana- (Art Deco Day)

  • Breakfast at hotel
  • Visit Havana’s most iconic art deco buildings (theaters, homes, office buildings, monuments) with a specialist.
  • Lunch
  • Drive around the city to keep learning about Art Deco presence in Havana
  • Dinner on at local restaurant on own (Suggestions will be provided).
    Options will be provided to enjoy cultural activities in the evening.

( Day 4 ) — Havana

  • Breakfast at hotel
  • Visit Cuba’s National Museum of Fine Arts. Enjoy the wonderful display of paintings, sculptures and installations made by the best Cuban artists by the hands of a knowledgeable Cuban arts specialist.
  • Lunch at “Toros Y Tapas” in Miramar
  • Visit Fuster’s studios. One of Cuba’s most important artists whose work might resemble that of Gaudi’s.
  • Meet with the artist and witness first-hand the inspiring community arts project.
  • Dinner at “El Litoral”, one of Havana’s newest and best family-run restaurants.
    Options will be provided to enjoy cultural activities in the evening.

(Day 5) — Havana- Vinales-Havana

  • Breakfast at hotel
  • Departure for “Las Terrazas” Community…a unique town in Cuba which is a protected biosphere reserve as well as community project where a number of well-known artists have lived.
  • Lunch at farmer’s house.
  • Meet with artists and learn about the community project.
  • Dinner at “Cafe Laurent”
    Options will be provided to enjoy cultural activities in the evening.

(Day 6) — Havana

  • Breakfast at hotel
  • Visit the School of Architecture. Meet with professors and students.
  • Learn about 20th century architecture and visit some of the most representative or relevant pieces of that style
  • Lunch at privately own restaurant in Vedado.
  • Visit art galleries and market. Engage in conversations with locals.
  • Dinner at “El Cocinero”, one of the newest family-run restaurants, owned by Cuban artist.
  • Visit “Fabrica de Arte”, the most popular art’s project in Havana, where visual artists, musicians and young entrepreneurs express their talents.

(Day 7) — Havana-U.S.A

  • Hotel check-out
  • Transfer to “Jose Marti” International Airport in Havana.
  • Flight departs to USA from Havana
